Introducing The New 'Moonlight Magic' Dress

Sustainable wedding dress

We’ve been a little busy behind the scenes here at Sabina Motasem HQ designing the 2024 Collection, which is launching soon, BUT we're excited to share a new style that's ready to try on – ‘Moonlight Magic’.

The Moonlight Magic Dress

Moonlight Magic dress is a tank-top style, bias-cut dress with a super low, deep-v back neck and a soft A-line skirt. She's a minimalist chic style that can be styled in a number of different ways and is timeless too.

The cut of this dress is so flattering and perfectly skims over the hips in just the way you would want it to. The train easily buttons up underneath once the initial ceremony is over, so you're all ready to mingle and dance the night away.

How to Style the Moonlight Magic Dress?

This is a simple and elegant style that can suit almost any kind of styling. Make a statement with bold jewellery and colours, keep it simple and sleek with just a few accessories, or go vintage with delicate lace trims.

Make a Statement

Think statement accessories and a flash of colour, if you’re looking to create a bold look that's reminiscent of 80s styling.

We have a new bow sash that can be added to the Moonlight Magic dress to add fun to the bridal look, paired with large star earrings by Eyland Jewellery from Joan The Store.

For a veil, try a polka dot or a daisy motif modern veil, AM Faulkner has some nice ones.

For shoes go bold metallic or a bold and bright colour. We like these Tyra gold platforms by Freya Rose. Don't forget to also check out Selfridges which has the largest shoe department in the whole of Europe.

Go Minimal Chic

For a more minimally chic look, where less is most definitely more’, go for dangly, simple modernist style earrings from Freya Rose’s range worn with a soft tulle single tier chapel length veil and a nice elegant bouquet is all you need.

For hair go slick with a nicely done bun or a pony-tail for that minimal fuss look, with a side comb or hair pins to finish off the look. We love the pieces from Victoria Fergusson or AM Faulkner.

For shoes any of Freya Rose’s range would suit this look.

Go Vintage Inspired

Choose a decorative soft-tulle two tier veil with a lace trim detail along its edge to create a stunning look paired with simple pearl earrings.

The high neckline of the Moonlight Magic dress means there's no need for a necklace, not the traditional kind, but you could wear a long back necklace adorned with pearls and crystals. We really love Kelly Spence’s Whisper or Kisses back necklaces which finishes off this look perfectly. We've written a few blog posts on some of our favourite back necklaces here: back necklace blog 02, back necklace blog 01.

Both Victoria Fergusson and Kelly Spence have lots of gorgeous head pieces that are all vintage inspired, some with a modern twist.

For shoes go for a vintage-inspired pair go for one of the gorgeously embellished styles from Emmy Shoes, so many to choose from.

For hair, think soft tussled curls as a half-up do with tendrils neatly pinned in place.

If you fancy a little lace incorporated into your look, you could also wear the Moonlight Magic dress under one of the lace over-dresses, here it is below under the Mystic Rose

A Little Bit About Our Sustainability

Our dresses are made with the finest quality, the best silks and an uncompromising approach to sustainability and aesthetics, leaving no stone unturned. All leftover silks are transformed into workwear tops and new-born baby clothes we donate to marginalised women and refugees through local charities Smartworks, AFRIL (Lewisham) and Cornerstone Baby Bank (East London). We also donate old samples to ethical bridal boutique Brides Do Good who support charities that work hard to prevent child marriage. And that's not all, we’re also proudly plastic free with no zips and made in London.
