Bridal spotlight: Kelly Spence, bridal accessories designer
Once you've found the dress and the venue, are you a little 'googled' out and find the planning daunting? Many of our brides say they are. We offer a helping hand by sharing a specially hand picked list of some of the most talented people we know and love in the bridal industry to help complete the bridal look. From underwear, hair stylists and make-up to bridal accessories and shoes, there's everything a bride will need to style their Sabina Motasem dress.
The first Bridal Spotlight looks at Kelly Spence, a designer of the most beautiful bridal accessories, hair adornments, jewellery and veils.
I first met Kelly three years ago, when we loaned our Josephine dress for a styled shoot with Kat Hill. We ended up talking about all things bridal and how I could find pretty back necklaces to go with our dresses and we are now great friends. I love all her pieces, so beautifully designed and they compliment all our dresses. Our brides love them too. Kelly created two back necklaces, Whisper and Kisses.
Kelly signature style is pretty and delicate with a fresh approach and she looks to nature for her inspiration with a “glancing nod to classic vintage fashions”. Appealing to the more discerning bride looking for something unique, Kelly pays great attention to the detail and sources her materials from around the world. Every piece is made to order by hand too!
Kelly was the proud winner of both The National Wedding Industry Awards 2015 and The Regional Wedding Industry Awards 2015. Her clients include aristocracy and celebrities and she is frequently featured in bridal press.
