Here at Sabina Motasem, we are dedicated to our brides looking and feeling their absolute best on their wedding day. Of course, a bride can go a long way to achieving this with great makeup, fabulous hair, shoes she can dance in and, the most show stopping item of all, the perfect dress. But no matter how we are built, from beautifully curvy to latest supermodel (and every possible shape in-between), we all need a little assistance to look as polished as we’d ideally like in a slinky backless dress such as some of those in our Green Collection and the Couture Collection
What’s needed
So, we took a little opinion poll and discovered that, whilst grooming must-haves are all important, the real secret to looking chic and feeling confident, is often credited by our mothers and grandmothers, to the right underpinnings. Our underwear.
Ever since Sabina Motasem was founded back in 2007, its always been a bit of a challenge to find the perfect seamless backless underwear that works with a slinky bias cut dress. We even created undergarments for some of our brides and did detachable bra straps that fitted onto the body suits. We’ve always been inspired by the work and patronage of early 20th century creatives such as fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli, who designed fabulously sinuous evening dresses, and stage and screen sensation, Josephine Baker, who wore them. In fact, we have always named our dresses after these and other iconic women.
The tall ask
Fast forward to today and what we are still talking about is the kind of underwear that gently shapes you, holds your boobs in, is smooth, comfortable, subtly sexy, pretty and, achieving all this whilst invisibly concealed under the dress. it has underwired plunge bra and tanga-style briefs so is ideal as wedding underwear for all super slinky backless or low back dresses. This bodysuit provides squeeze-free contour shaping from smooth, breathable jacquard mesh that hides any trace of a visible panty line.
Straps on all ENDER LEGARD bodysuits are interchangeable so you can swap out the supplied fabric straps for clear silicone straps or spaghetti straps (sold separately) as required. You can even customise the strap position to change from a standard 'over the shoulder' strap configuration to either a cross-over or racer-back look to suit your dress.

The Uma Bodysuit by Ender Legard
This lace version of the same bodysuit is so pretty and lovely, and would look lovely under our dresses. If the dress has a free-flowing a-line skirt, you might want to double check that the lace edges and hems are concealed nicely under the draped skirt.

For black or brown skinned ladies too...
In our experience, nude seems to work great on all skin colours, and looks best under an ivory coloured silk too. But you could try their black coloured lace body, our only thing we'd watch out for would be whether the lace shows through the ivory crepe and double check for any V.P.L (visible panty line). This piece looks gorgeous and you'd want to keep on wearing it way beyond the wedding day.
An excellent solution

Their lace garments are made in Northern European factories that have a long tradition of skilled lingerie production and that adhere to responsible and ethical business practices as set out in SEDEX guidelines.
They have an expert team of stylists to assist you with every aspect of your choice from what is most flattering for your body type to what style would best go under your dress. Their bodysuits provide the same lift and support as your favourite bra and contain no silicone parts, rubber or glue that may irritate your skin or cause breast tenderness. Although their bodysuits provide some gentle shaping, for those in need of firmer control around the tummy area, Ender Legard recommends wearing elasticated shaping pants over or under your bodysuit, a combination that works well and will help to keep everything smooth and neat under your dress.

What to do when you have a dress with spaghetti straps and you don’t want your bra to show…
Even in this situation there’s a solution too. In the past there were never any options available online, so we ended up replacing the bra straps of a body suit with spaghetti straps made from the same silk crepe fabric as the dress. We have done this for some of our brides in the past. So imagine our delight, when we discovered Ender Legard, not only have they launched their seamless underwear range, but they also have these spaghetti straps with gold metal regulators that easily fits onto any of their bodysuits.
