TOP TIPS: for flawless bridal make-up
I am so excited to be writing this little blog about my favourite subject – bridal beauty! Just a little bit about me before we dive into more detail, my name is Birute Thomas and I specialise in creating most beautiful bridal and special occasion looks. Just recently I became makeup artist of the year at the most prestigious Wedding Industry Awards! I am extremely happy and honoured to have this title for 2019 as the National Winner of The Best Bridal Makeup Artist – sounds pretty awesome, huh!? Enough about me and let’s dive into what this article is all about – my bridal beauty top tips and big make up trends for 2019 wedding season:
1. Take your cue from the royal weddings…
I am so happy to see the Royal weddings last year has played a big part in setting some trends for this year’s weddings. So many of my brides are asking for makeup looks inspired by Meghan and Eugene already. I love clean, natural and modern makeup looks.
2. Radiant, soft, dewy skin is here to stay
I really hope that it will be the choice for many brides in the years to come. There is nothing more beautiful than romantic looks, pure English rose being one of my favourites.
3. Subtle eye makeup with just awash of colour on the lips
It’s still going to be more polished looks but very much on a natural side. I love the idea of subtle eye makeup and just a wash of colour on the lips. Fresh and light feel dominated the catwalks with a pop of colour on cheeks and lips. This glamorous yet natural makeup look is on trend and will be big in 2019. Goes well with those loose waves and classy hair updos.

4. Natural, polished, minimalist looks
Majority of my brides do not wear makeup often or feel nervous about having makeup done professionally but I tell you what my lovelies, this year you are going to be right on trend going for natural, polished, minimalistic looks!
5. Good is never good enough for me – it has to be perfect!
As a highly trained professional makeup artist, I understand the importance of having the right look for you on your big day. Soft bridal, vintage glamour, natural allure or anything in between – I have got it covered! Makeup is such a powerful tool; when you feel good about yourself and the way you look, confidence and fabulousness shines through!
