Unique Wedding Shoes for Your Big Day
From the moment you walk down the aisle, you'll be wearing the most important pair of shoes on earth, but just because they are wedding shoes doesn’t mean they have to be a certain colour or height.
Your wedding day shoes can really help inject a touch of personality into your big day ensemble. If you’re not a heels girl, keep to flats. If you’ve always wanted to be Dorothy, walk down your own brick road (or aisle) in red sparkly shoes. Here are a few of our favourite unique wedding shoes…
Something blue
If you’ve not found your ‘something blue’ then choose blue shoes! This bright blue pair (£44.39 from Privato) will add a touch of style to any wedding dress. Not only are they super stylish, but they're also vegan and eco-friendly. Team them with our Empress Josephine dress from our Green Collection for a truly planet-friendly wedding day outfit!
Wedding day boots
Who says you have to wear shoes on your big day? These boots by Freya Rose (£795) are definitely made for walking (down the aisle). The floral print and mother of pearl inlay in the heel make these a truly unique wedding day choice and are perfect if your prefer more substantial footwear or are getting married in the winter months.
Fantasy shoes
You’ve been dreaming of this day for ages, so why not treat yourself to some shoes that really are dream like. Sophia Webster’s Evangeline shoes (£525) come with wings – a true fantasy shoe that you’ll want to show off come party time. The Grecian vibe of these sandals go well with our one-shoulder Posy dress.
Flat shoes
We’re not all made to wear high heels so if you prefer something a little closer to the ground, there’s a huge variety of pretty flats to choose from including sandals, ballet flats and embellished mules. If you’re on a budget these super cute bow mules from ASOS (£18) are perfect. The pretty detailing can poke out of longer length dresses and what’s more, they can be worn afterwards with pretty much everything in your wardrobe!
Embellished sandals
If you’re wearing a shorter dress, make sure your shoes are ready for their close up with these gorgeous Charlotte Mills pearl heels (£295). The embellishment makes them stand out from the wedding shoe crowd, plus they come with the bonus of a chunky heel so you can wear them all day. We think they’d look great paired with our art deco style dress, Anise.
Floral shoes
Flowers are an important aspect of any wedding day, and you can carry on the floral theme with these beautiful Bella Belle shoes (£345), which is literally like wearing a gorgeous garden on your feet. Shoes this pretty really deserve a dress that shows them off so are perfect with a shorter hem.
Trainers – yes, really!
And finally, if you’re that kind of woman that cannot be parted from her trainers, fret not! There are lots of jazzed up trainers available to ensure you’ll be running down that aisle in true comfort. Try Converse’s classic trainers that you can customise with different colours, laces, put Bride or Mrs on the side and also add a blue sole.
