We’re getting crafty! Join us for a Christmas decoration workshop

Fancy making your own sustainable Christmas decorations? Join Sabina in December on this first of her crafting workshops at Stone Mini Market.

On Thursday 8 December, Sabina will be hosting a special crafting workshop. You’ll learn how to make fabric flowers from leftover fabrics and then how to convert them into pretty Christmas tree decorations.

We’re super committed to making the fashion industry more sustainable, so this workshop is right up our street. Using leftover fabric from our wedding dresses, she’ll be showing you how step-by-step to make gorgeous fabric flowers. Not only do you come away with something unique that you’ve made yourself, but it also fits into our zero fabric waste policy.

We’re also huge supporters of our local community and always looking for ways to give back, which is one of the reasons we really wanted to start these workshops.  

“Giving back to the community is something that is really important to us, and we’re constantly looking for ways we can do that,” says Sabina.

The workshops are taking place at Stone Minimart on Leytonstone High Street, East London, and will be the first of a series of monthly workshops that Sabina will be hosting.

Everything you need will be provided, including fabric offcuts, however you’re welcome to bring your own fabric along. Minimal sewing is required, with sewing machines available on the night, and Sabina will be on hand throughout the workshop to help.

We make some of these pretty flowers for some of our brides out of the off-cuts and if aside from Christmas decorations, they have lots of other pretty uses…

🌸 They can be sewn onto a ribbon and worn as a corsage or a head accessory. Sabina will bring hair combs for anyone who would like to make a hair comb and some ribbons.

🌸 Join several flowers together onto a ribbon as a garland like bunting to put up

🌸 Or make a few to wrap around a circular wire to make a wreath.
